The white wine »Meisterstück« Sauvignon Blanc, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Axel Bauer has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Baden in Germany.
On the nose, there is subtle oak, caramel, an aroma of freshly cooked rhubarb, notes of elderberry pulp, blackcurrant and grape sugar. The palate opens silky, soft, round, with an almost Burgundy-like texture, free of residual sweetness, yet accessible and harmonious, with gastronomic flair and excellent certain ageing potential over three to five years.
