The white wine Forst Pechstein Riesling GC, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Dr. Bürklin-Wolf has been rated in 2018 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Strongly yeasty on the nose with some almond, but completely closed. After ten minutes floral hints start emerging, especially viola. Weighty palate, somewhat denser than just silky, but everything very finely resolved. Viscously layered with ripe acidity, almost no sweetness, more Burgundy-like than "German" and with great length. In terms of minerality rather restrained.
