The red wine »Amator« trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Emil Bauer und Söhne has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Elegant and at the same time wild on the nose, cherry, baked plum, dried herbs and blueberry. Wonderful juiciness on the palate, paired with dark fruit, fine acidity and fine-grained tannin. Medium bodied with a good finish.
