The red wine »Cultor«, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Emil Bauer und Söhne has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Carmenère, Petit Verdot, Malbec from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
First development on the nose. Raisin, apple, Amarena cherry. The wine begins silky and full on the palate, sweet fruit and mild acidity make the mid-palate quite round and flowing, oiliness binds the alcohol, with raisin aromas echoing again on the finish. Very charming!
