The red wine »Cultor«, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Emil Bauer und Söhne has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Port-like cherry aromas emanate from the glass, along with some zin-berries, metallic and herbal and spicy aromas. On the palate, the wine has a large volume, elevated alcohol is balanced by grainy tannins, sweetish texture and chalky minerality. The finish is still aromatically closed and dries slightly.
