The white wine Saarburg Rausch Riesling GG, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Forstmeister Geltz-Zilliken has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
On the nose, a subtle mineral spiciness tops the citrus fruit notes, slatey, with undertones of volcanic smoke. On the palate, initial suppleness, a delicate phenolic character and a fresh, fine acidic structure give the wine tension.
