The sweet and dessert wine Saarburg Rausch Riesling Spätlese, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Forstmeister Geltz-Zilliken has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Aromas of sweet fruit, ripe orange, mandarin, notes of tropical fruit, mango and a very delicate hint of blossom honey. Ripe on the palate, with fresh acidity, perfectly integrated sweetness, very juicy and supple, hints of peach and melon, mineral notes and a long finish. Definite ageing potential.
