The red wine Grande Cuvée d´Or, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Franz Schindler has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Leithaberg in Austria.
Strong ruby garnet, purple reflections, subtle edge brightening. Delicate notes of liquorice and vanilla, black forest berries, fine precious wood savouriness, a hint of nougat, inviting bouquet. Full-bodied, fine nuances of cloves, ripe cherries, delicate hints of caramel, firm tannins, mineral and persistent, secure development and certain ageing potential.
