The white wine »S« Homburg Kallmuth Silvaner trocken, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Fürst Löwenstein has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grüner Sylvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
Rich yellow colour. Candied peach, ginger and valerian on the nose, some evolution. On the palate luscious texture and suppleness, quite seamlessly round, ripe acidity, concentrated palate flavours. A full-throttle Silvaner that can take on spicy sauces.
More about the tastingFragrant with stone fruit and fresh herbs, refreshing from the very first whiff, evoking memories of morning dew, clover and watercress. Smoky nuances are added. Juicy and beautifully crystalline on the palate, with an easy-going length.
