The white wine Riesling Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese Lange Goldkapsel, vintage 1985 from the winery Weingut Joh. Jos. Prüm has been rated in 2014 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Strong yellow green colour. Smoky nuances on the nose, fine botrytis savouriness, initially somewhat restrained, then a delicate herbal note, mandarin zest. Apricot confit on the palate, complex and rich, but with somewhat angular tannins underneath, certainly a long-lasting wine, but not quite as full of finesse at the moment, still needs time.
