The white wine Bockstein GG, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Nik Weis – St. Urbans-Hof has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Tasting Notes
Day one: Aroma of ripe fruit, tangerine peel, grapefruit, apple, peach, pear, followed by fresh lime, crushed rock. Ripe, lively acidity on the palate, mineral trait, lime, elegant, flowing style, good length, grippy phenolics accompany the finish, completely dry. Day two: Rich aroma of ripe citrus fruits, lime zest, kefir leaf, mint, somewhat fuller than on day one. Lively acidity on the palate, grippy, noticeable phenolics, develops a delicate smooth texture, although the tension is somewhat on the retreat, good length. Day three: Aroma of ripe citrus fruit, papaya and mango are added, plus plenty of savouriness. The palate is also very spicy, nutmeg is new, tangerine, broad, ripe citrus fruit, good length, mineral base, further loss of tension.
