The white wine »Alte Reben« Iphofen Kronsberg Sylvaner trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Olinger has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grüner Sylvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
A fragrant nose of white flowers, sage and lemon balm, with exotic orange zest and cumin notes in support. There's plenty of fruit as well - juicy nectarines, mango and yellow apple in particular. The palate again majors on juicy fruit overlaid on a creamy base, with a mineral savouriness and lively acidity. Great depth and length, this is a lot of wine for little money.
