The white wine Iphofen Kalb Sylvaner trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Olinger has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Silvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
Lots of character. The Kalb site gives gypsum-like ground stone notes on the nose, almond and celery, a near total absence of fruit. On the palate, smooth, salty notes, very fine, light, with a little nougat, white pepper notes - a wonderful gastro wine!
