The red wine The Great Bustard, vintage 2021 from the winery Scheiblhofer The Wine has been rated in 2023 by Peter Moser with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zweigelt from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Deep dark ruby with an opaque core and purple reflections, subtly brighter at the edge. Intense black berry fruit, a hint of cassis and liquorice, blueberry and nougat – a multi-faceted bouquet. Complex, tightly meshed, with dark berries and vivid, savoury tannins, the wine has a mineral quality and will benefit from bottle ageing.
