The red wine The Great Bustard, vintage 2023 from the winery Scheiblhofer The Wine has been rated in 2025 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zweigelt from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Deep dark ruby colour, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate brightening on the rim. Delicate liquorice and blackberry confit, black forest berries, subtle hints of tobacco, with candied orange zest in the background. Powerful, vivid savouriness, nougat, supporting tannins, mineral on the finish, good persistence, will benefit from bottle ageing.
