Tasting from 13.09.2024: Ulrich Sautter

"Barillet" - in French, this can be a lock cylinder, a revolver drum or a small barrel. The latter is probably the appropriate association here, as the Souvignier Gris has certainly spent time in wooden barrels. This is already noticeable on the nose, whereby the yellow fruitiness of the grape variety recedes accordingly. On the palate, however, it comes through: lots of pineapple, lots of wood, some residual sweetness, expressive.
