The red wine Cabernet Cortis Auslese Barrique Reserve, vintage 2018 from the winery Weinhof Winter has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 89+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Cortis, Regent from the region Saale-Unstrut in Germany.
The colour suggests advanced maturity, but the aroma is very expressive and fresh: with aromas of red and black currant, dried tomato. In the mouth, the wine has two poles: juiciness and alcoholic power, silky tannins, creaminess and fruit on the palate, but in the end the very powerful alcohol is somewhat drying.
