Strong, almost youthful red; medium intensity bouquet, malty, with stewed plums, laurel, mocha, black pepper; quite soft on the palate, subtle acidity, distinctive tannins, prunes, tobacco, cinnamon. Monumental, compact, somewhat overstructured wine, but has retained its freshness.
