The Best Value Pinot Noirs - The Winners of Falstaff's First International Pinot Noir Trophy
Falstaff has tasted great value Pinot Noirs from across the globe. The results are out today!
Pinot lovers rejoice! If one thing became clear with this Trophy – open to any Pinot Noir with a retail price of up to £25/US$35 – it is that there is so much great value Pinot Noir everywhere – and it is delicious.
Falstaff Trophies
Blind tastings are an integral part of every magazine that covers wine. At Falstaff, both in our quarterly print editions and online at falstaff.com, we will will feature themed wine competitions – which we call “Trophies” – to pitch wines against each other under a common theme, be it varietal, regional or stylistic.
The entries for this first-ever Trophy run by Falstaff International rather neatly split themselves into two, so we divided them in the fairest way possible. Half of our entries were global; the other half were from Germany where the German-language edition of Falstaff is already a well known publication.
We thus have international winners and German winners.
