New London Restaurant ‘Miro’ to Offer £3,000 Dish
A new Mayfair restaurant hits the headlines even before opening with a caviar-extravaganza of a dish costing £3,000 – ideally to be paired with a £5,000 Dom Pérignon Champagne.
Slated to open next week, restaurant Miro will introduce a special £3,000/$3,580 dish and a range of cocktails priced between £500 and £50,000. Led by Chef Toby Burrowes, previously of Zuma London and Michelin-starred Elystan Street, the menu promises a “dramatic presentation and a lot of creativity without compromising on quality.”
Small plates are set to "delight guests" with expensive dishes including king crab and confit garlic croquettes, truffled cheese toasties, mini brioche beef tartare caviar tins, bone marrow brulée and Miro’s take on “fish and chips” with layers of crisp potato, fatty tuna and wasabi tartare.
Meanwhile, larger dishes will include various cuts and sizes of quality steaks, yuzu and sake lobster thermidor, vegan Josper grilled celeriac served on truffled butter bean purée and roasted hazelnut pesto, as well as jumbo tiger prawns and whole baby chicken.
The headline-grabbing dish, priced at £3,000/$3,580 and named “sunken treasure chest,” will be a “visual extravaganza containing a kilogram of caviar surrounded by an array of nibbles including blinis, mini brioche buns, mini croissants and assortment of condiments.”
The drinks menu will offer rare and special cocktails including a "world-record-breaking" ‘Vintage French 75’ made with a rare 1950s gin and a mythical bottle of 1970 Dom Perignon Champagne priced at £5,000.
Operated by the Cream Group, one of London's leading nightlife entertainment and hospitality groups, Miro is set to open in the middle of July.
