The ten best places for Brunch in Tyrol

From traditional breakfasts with a view of the mountains to fancy brunches in hip Innsbruck cafés.

Many coffee houses, hotels and inns in the Tyrolean villages offer brunch on Sundays, often accompanied by breathtaking mountain views. There are also a growing number of hip cafés and restaurants in cities such as Innsbruck that offer creative interpretations of the brunch concept.

The gastronomic scene is as diverse as the range on offer: for those who prefer savory dishes, there is often a selection of fresh baked goods, cold cuts, cheese, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. Popular Tyrolean specialties such as Tiroler Gröstl are also frequently found on the menu, prepared of course with regional products such as Tyrolean bacon and mountain cheese to capture the authentic taste of the region.

From fresh fruit and yoghurt, homemade jams and honey to a variety of cakes, tarts and pastries, there is also something for lovers of a sweet taste: Tyrolean pastries such as Kaiserschmarrn, Topfenstrudel and Apfelradl are particularly popular and offer a delicious way to end the brunch.

On the plateau you can enjoy the view and on the heated terrace, beautifully set tables. Because a pleasurable journey through the gastronomic arts awaits with pan fried scampi and Vulcano ham, but also with Tyrolean classics such as Kaspressknödel or sausages with sauerkraut. Great gin.
