This smoothie is ideal for starting the day and provides a wealth of vitamins, minerals and fiber - with no added sugar.

The festive season is often associated with a high consumption of sugar, whether through sweet desserts, mulled wine or tempting snacks. However, large amounts of sugar can destabilize blood sugar levels, cause energy levels to fluctuate and impair health in the long term. A detox can help to relieve the body, reduce cravings and make you feel more vital.

Smoothie

Ingredients
1 handful Fresh baby spinach
1/2 Avocado
1/2 Green apple
1/2 Cucumber
200 ml Unsweetened coconut drink or water
Juice of half a lemon
Optional: 1 teaspoon of chia seeds for extra fiber

Preparation

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender
  • Blend to a smooth consistency
  • Serve in a glass and enjoy slowly

The smoothie is rich in antioxidants, healthy fats and fiber, which fill you up and gently cleanse the body. The slight sweetness of the apple is enough to round off the taste, while the lemon adds a refreshing note.
