Dark, flinty ruby-violet. A very exciting and appealing nose full of rich, fresh fruit - blackcurrant and blackberry in particular - with cigar box in the background. Plucky, hearty tannins open up in many layers on the palate, again with a core of pithy, dark berryi fruit and firm drive on the finish.
