The red wine Siepi Toscana IGT, vintage 2012 from the winery Castello di Fonterutoli has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear, dark ruby with a slight garnet shimmer. Very fragrant and appealing nose of dark cherry, wild raspberry and black truffle, with some cedar wood in the background. Fresh and juicy on the palate, shows very good tension, full of dark cherry and blackberry, unfolds with fine-meshed tannins, very precise, fine texture accompanies the wine into the long finish, only at the beginning of a first maturity.
