The red wine Siepi Toscana IGT, vintage 2019 from the winery Castello di Fonterutoli has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, deep dark ruby with a purple shimmer. Very appealing and dense nose, rich notes of blackberry, blueberry, some black truffle, savoury macchia herbs, lots of cassis. Lots of plump and juicy fruit on the palate, very vivid, blackberry and cassis, unfolds with fine, almost silky tannins, firm drive and fine resinous notes on the finish.
