The red wine Cignale IGT, vintage 2011 from the winery Castello di Querceto has been rated in 2017 by Othmar Kiem with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Tasting Notes
Sparkling ruby with garnet rim. Rich aromas of raspberries and blackberries, underpinned by notes of damp forest floor. Hearty, gripping tannin on the palate, builds for a long time, lots of redcurrants, crisp, can still age a little.
