Tasting Notes
Dark ruby garnet colour, with purple reflections, and a clear, watery rim. Sweet and spicy notes, dark berries, a hint of liquorice and blackberries, with wild berries confit in the background, some cloves and floral notes with aeration. Complex, fine heart cherries, precise, silky tannins, finesse-rich structure, very elegant, pronounced in fruit finish, now more clearly characterised by Cabernet Franc, multilayered, appears somewhat closed in this phase, not as open as half a year before. It now seems to have entered a longer dormant phase. Becomes more and more similar to the 2001 vintage. (ageing/ drinking +30).
