Tasting Notes

Tasting from 26.05.2011

Bright, full garnet red. Initially restrained nose, then jam, dark berries, some vanilla, roasted aromas. Cassis and blackberries, mineral and a light woody note. Present acidity and tannins, beautifully balanced. Dark berry fruit on the finish. Maturation potential for at least another ten years. Although 2002 and 2005 were climatically similar years in Lebanon, there is a clear difference between the two vintages. Harmonizes just as well with red meat, sauce dishes and fish prepared in red wine as its older brother.
