Tasting Notes

88
Tasting from 26.05.2011

Rich purple red with bluish reflections. Smells of plums, dark berries, some vanilla, roasted aromas and earth. Cassis and plums meet on the palate, accompanied by wood, tobacco and herbs. Round wine with well-integrated tannins and fresh acidity, long finish. Maturation potential for at least another 10 years, can be stored for a good 15 years without any problems. (Very different from the 2002 and 2005 vintages.) A good food companion, especially with red meat.
