The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2019 from the winery Cupano has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby red with a slightly brightening rim. Very savoury on the nose, ripe plum, sour cherry, with some undergrowth and leather, echoes of candle wax. Beautiful, clear fruit on the palate, embedded in vivid, substantial tannins, full of character, very well balanced. Deep, earthy and long.
