Tasting Notes
On the nose: hazelnut skin, some mushroom, but also red berries and red currant. The palate is taut and acidic, still full-bodied, and slightly astringent, a tense, grippingly pithy wine, with a high density from a presumably barely ripe harvest, excellent in the pithy, straightforward style of the fifties, definitely still has further ageing potential.
