The white wine Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru Clos des Monts Luisants blanc, vintage 1961 from the winery Domaine Ponsot has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Aligoté from the region Bourgogne in France.
Light gold with greenish reflections. Restrained aroma, iodine, lime blossom, a hint of grated apple and roasted hazelnut. On the palate there is a superb balance of oiliness and dry, still firm substance, accompanied by a hint of sweetness in the fruit. The wine combines density, length and charm, it has volume and yet also elegance and finesse, and still appears far from grown-up.
