Tasting Notes

94+
Tasting from 09.07.2019: Ulrich Sautter

Highly ripe apricot, flinty mineral notes, coconut, powery palate, firm acidity, sturdy mid palate, distinct wood imprint on the finish, high density and alcohol, a powerful wine with power and texture, but also with depth and length. Very long spicy and tactile-mineral aftertaste. Needs a few years of ageing, and then a first class gastronomic pairing (e.g. lobster).

More about the tasting

Light golden yellow, silver reflections. Fine nuances of vanilla and nougat caramel, ripe yellow peach, apricot and honeydew melon underlay, but also floral notes, multi-faceted bouquet. Juicy, very powerful, pronounced fruit, silky texture, underlaid with ripe tropical fruit, very precise and tight-knit, fine acidity structure, mineral touch, delicately nutty on the finish. Great length, secure development potential.
