The red wine San Lorenzo Etna Rosso DOC, vintage 2019 from the winery Girolamo Russo has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio from the region Sicily in Italy.
Radiant cherry ruby. Pronounced and multi-layered on the nose, of ripe wild berries, a pinch of milk chocolate, then ripe raspberry, cedar wood, again cranberry and a hint of sea salt on the finish. A polished notion on the palate, radiant and clear, with fine tannins, constantly juicy, long, precise finish with a generous, stony feel.
