A nose of freshly crushed blackberry and plum almost comes with a hint of asphalt and tar. Some oaky smoke plays around the edges. The medium bodied palate has tannins that brush like corduroy, with a lovely little grip that lends both texture and structure. Freshness lends a hint of tartness to the dark fruit that shimmers and resonates.
