Hints of elderberry and cocoa provide an interesting aromatic fillip on the nose. That fresh elderberry note also persists on the palate. There is juiciness but seemingly less concentration. Tannins dry the palate and this does not seem to rest in itself – much rather it comes across as a contrary teenager, at odds with itself and the world. Needs time in bottle.
