A lactic note lends a hint of kefir to notes of blackberry, followed by a sense of profound earthiness. The palate then mixes blackberry and fresh plum with smoky earth, like compost made with ash. The tannins are smooth with some lovely grip and there is a fine, bright line of freshness with a slightly brief finish.
