Both a floral and a lifted hint present themselves on the first sniff. Dried ferns and tender, smoked plum notions make for a subtle but complex nose. The palate comes in with much more bang and immediate notions of salty miso paste and intense, evolved savouriness that has real, captivating umami depth. A wine at its savoury, mature peak with an almost meaty streak. Get those steaks out now. Lovely.
