The white wine Südtirol Appius DOC, vintage 2010 from the winery Kellerei St. Michael-Eppan has been rated in 2015 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Clear pale straw yellow with light green nuances. The nose opens with fine, smoky notes of flint, then lots of rich yellow fruit notes - some banana, mirabelle plum and mango - all very exciting. Shows a nice interplay on the palate: first fine ripe fruit, especially banana, then some fresh apple and red currant, then herbal notes of thyme. Salty and long on the palate, it pulls through clearly.
