The red wine »1G«Mauchen Sonnenstück Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Lämmlin-Schindler has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Baden in Germany.
Laurel, almond and the typical Pinot scents of "worn tires". Also cherry stone, sage and lemon thyme. The palate is juicy and sinewy, surprisingly "cool" given the warm vintage, the tannins are ripe and vivid in a suitably medium-high quantity, the palate structure will continue to grown-up for a few years towards ever greater spiciness.
