Tasting Notes
Deep dark ruby, purple reflections. Intense sweet and sour cherry fruit on the nose, fine woody spice, a hint of nougat and caramel, fine vanilla notes, very soft touch of liquorice, ethereal highlights, a delicate touch of cardamom, suggestive bouquet. Full-bodied blackberry fruit on the palate, wonderful fruit, perfectly integrated tannins, finesse-rich acidity, ripe cherries, mineral aftertaste, very convincing length, fine tobacco nuances, a touch of black tea on the finish, but without astringency, a finely woven vin de garde. A wine that displays astonishing elegance and freshness for such an opulent vintage. Store 30+ years.
