The red wine Passorosso Etna Rosso DOC, vintage 2022 from the winery Passopisciaro has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nerello Mascalese from the region Sicily in Italy.
Bright, clear ruby red. Shows slightly vegetal notes on the nose, salty and iodine elements on the nose, later also raspberry and some oregano. Hearty, dense tannins on the palate, the iodine elements are no longer noticeable, medium-ripe plums dominate retronasally. Medium palate drive with clear acidity on the finish.
