Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, subtle brightening at the rim. Black forest fruit, fine cassis, a touch of dried plum and eucalyptus, subtle notes of tar and herbs, but overall still restrained, fine hint of chocolate in the background. Powerful, juicy, pronounced fruit, finely rounded tannins, chocolatey also on the finish, very complex, persistent, fine roasted flavours on the aftertaste, great future ageing potential.
