Dense, impenetrable ruby, edging to purple. Opens with emphatic savoury notes, of celery, some bay leaf and ivy, with rich dark fruit in the background. Spicy and complex on the palate, showing notes of mulberry, then cardamom and bay leaf, some white pepper, lots of juicy fruit, spreading with broad and hearty tannin.
