The red wine Carnasciale Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2020 from the winery Podere Il Carnasciale has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Caberlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark, inky ruby with a drop of purple and an opaque core. On the nose, savoury, with red bell pepper, cassis, cranberries, green pepper, also fine hints of violet. Immediately shows presence on the palate, tight and bold, in addition it has a beautiful juiciness. It is amazingly reminiscent of mustard seed, is hearty, and shows beetroot notes. It is currently still very young, and needs time in the bottle.
