The red wine Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG, vintage 2019 from the winery Poggio di Sotto has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 99 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Lombardia in Italy.
Lightening, bright ruby red colour. A finesse-rich nose of toast, burnt butter, rich cherry, strawberry, pine needle, sage and wood, fragrant. Very savoury on the palate, with compact tannins and a very polished finish, clear cherry fruit, a slight minty note, straight as a sword, fine salinity on the finish.
