The red wine Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, vintage 2011 from the winery Poggio di Sotto has been rated in 2017 by Kiem, Othmar with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright, clear garnet. Shows subtle smoky notes, some hazelnuts and flint, then nuances of pomegranate, cherries, goji berries, exciting. Compact and dense fruit on the palate, unfolds with plenty of polished, vivid tannins, takes off again at the back of the palate, long finish and sweet texture.
