The red wine Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG, vintage 2019 from the winery Poggio di Sotto has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 99 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright, luminous ruby red. The fragrant nose is full of finesse, with notes of toast, burnt butter, rich cherries, strawberries, pine needles, sage and oak. Very hearty on the palate, with compact tannins, pronounced notes of cherry, a hint of mint, straight as a sword, with a fine salinity on the very polished finish.
