The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2020 from the winery Poggio di Sotto has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 99 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright, glittering ruby red with a shiny core. Inviting and fragrant nose of fresh cherry, subtle hints of geranium, pomegranate, freshly baked white bread and fine savouriness: complex and inviting. Very elegant on the palate with a great sweet core, polished tannins and a salty undertone. Open-hearted and accessible, it drinks excellently, with an aftertaste of candle wax and mint. Great.
