The red wine Brunello di Montalcino, vintage 2012 from the winery Poggio di Sotto has been rated in 2017 by Kiem, Othmar with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Brilliant, rich garnet. Very intense and appealing nose, nuances of goji berries, raspberries and cherry, with fine notes of saffron in the background. Round and smooth initially and when developing, lots of vivid, ripe fruits, fine-meshed, supple tannins, fine sweet texture on the finish, very elegant.
